DIRECTOR OF SALES OPERATIONS

Position Summary: The primary objectives of this role are to deliver sales consulting and sales coaching services to clients, onboard new sales consultants, observation of sales consultants for ongoing development and manage the talent acquisition efforts for the firm.

Performance Measurements:

  • Consulting service delivery and sales coaching delivery:
    • Distribute and collect quarterly client satisfaction surveys
    • Maintain total average survey score of 4 or better (on a scale of 1 to 5)
    • Record activity and observations in CRM on a daily basis
    • Review Monthly Consultant invoices for accuracy
  • New client acquisition:
    • Sell three new clients per quarter
  • New sales consultant talent acquisition:
    • Onboard 1 new sales consultant every 60 days
  • Consultant talent development:
    • Distribute onboarding feedback survey to new consultants
    • Maintain total average onboarding feedback survey score of 4 (on a scale of 1 to 5)
    • Observe and provide written and verbal feedback for new consultants for the first 90 days including:
      • Discovery meetings
      • Preparation and delivery of Playbook
      • Every other coaching session
      • Monthly scorecard meetings with owners

Responsibilities:

Deliver consulting services to clients including:

  • Analyzing clients’ current and future desired sales processes and infrastructure.
  • Recommending sales processes, sales activity metrics, and sales infrastructure.

Deliver sales coaching to clients including:

  • Developing sales strategies that include a clearly defined sales process along with activity metrics and accountability.
  • Conducting regular one-on-one sessions with sales representatives to monitor their adherence to sales processes and activity metrics and to identify their strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitating role plays and training activities with sales representatives to teach and reinforce sales skills.
  • Assisting clients in managing sales pipelines and forecasting while effectively managing and leveraging a CRM system.
  • Providing business owners with regular assessments of their sales representatives’ selling effectiveness and actions being taken to improve, if needed.

Sell services to prospective clients by:

  • Identifying and networking with target employers (small businesses with 1-100 employees).
  • Conducting prospect outreach activities.
  • Presenting solutions and closing new business opportunities.

Manage recruiting efforts for the firm including:

  • Setting the strategy for attracting top, A-player talent into the firm.
  • Setting the ideal candidate profile.
  • Sourcing quality candidates from the targeted former employers.
  • Marketing positions on various job boards and Keylan’s website.
  • Managing candidates through the interview process following the A-Player / WHO methodology.

Manage sales consultants’ client activities and professional development including:

  • Overseeing the onboarding of new sales consultants in their first 180 days.
  • Establishing and maintaining a recurring meeting cadence with Sales Consultants to discuss client work, objectives, successes, and challenges.
  • Ongoing observation of sales consultants’ client work to provide constructive feedback, suggestions and recognition.
  • Maintaining a monthly client executive sponsor touch base to ensure customer satisfaction and collect feedback.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of sales and sales management experience
  • Skilled with accountability and having “Crucial Conversations”
  • Proficient in business development
  • Effective at guiding, coaching, and mentoring sales representatives
